Local bands march at New Year’s Day bowl games from coast to coast

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The Midwest represented at bowl games from coast to coast on New Year's Day.

The Clydesdales marched through the streets of the Rose Bowl parade along with flower-covered floats and marching bands.  Another local sighting, the O'Fallon, Illinois Township Band.   The band hit the parade route after 11am CST  our time, Thursday morning.

The Belleville East Band marched in the Outback bowl game in Florida.  They won the grand champion of the parade and first place field show for the marching band among other honors. The band also got to play during the halftime show at the game.
