CARLYLE, IL (KTVI) - Police think they've solved a crime spree that spanned the Metro East.

Police in several counties are working together after arrests were made following one crime near Carlyle Illinois

Things started coming together when a subdivision in Millstadt Illinois was hit early Friday morning by a group a thieves. A tip led to officers on a police pursuit, but the thieves got away and according to detectives burned their car.

Valuable information was obtained from the car to connect these same thieves to a crime spree that started Christmas Eve.  The Casey`s store was robbed in Sandoval Illinois December 24th and a vehicle was stolen.  Numerous robberies followed including a robbery of the Flat Branch Saloon north of Carlyle.  No money was taken according to authorities, but the owner was shot January 1st.  A second vehicle was stolen January 2nd.

A tip lead detectives to the burned vehicle and they were able to identify who that vehicle belonged to and that is how the suspects were found for questioning.

Chad Ladisky from Belleville is charged with stealing two motor vehicles. Police also arrested a juvenile for the same crime.

Ethan Miller from Carlyle Illinois and a juvenile are charged with one count of armed robbery and three counts of aggravated battery for shooting of the owner of the Flat Branch Saloon.
