(KTVI)- The Open Door Animal Sanctuary has ways you can keep outdoor and stray animals warm in the winter. It will take a little planning and building to make sure the animals are safe as temps continue to dive.

For instance, pad a doghouse with straw. Never use a blanket, because it can freeze if it gets wet. It is great to have these items available for stray or feral animals.

But, call for help once you see strays in your enclosures. Open Door is open everyday.
