(KTVI)- Have you ever pulled up to the intersection of Clayton and Skinker and Oakland at I-64/40 and McCausland, you know where the big Amoco sign is? If so you would probably agree that  it can be confusing.

Don't fret, some improvements are on the way.

Lesley Hoffarth from Forest Park Forever tells us what's going to be different.

Changes to improve access to the park at its southwestern corner are coming soon. A $200,000 gift from the Bernoudy Foundation, is being utilized as the local match required to obtain the $1.6 million in federal dollars awarded to the City of St. Louis. It will begin this summer, with a completion targeted for early 2016.

There is much in store. One big change will be the installation of new traffic signals with pedestrian indications and crosswalks to create safer access for cyclists and pedestrians.
