Boy writes letters to every NFL team, gets one response

YUKON, OK – An Oklahoma sixth grader hand wrote letters to the owners of each NFL team asking why he should be a fan. He got just one letter back.

According to News On 6 in Oklahoma, Cade Pope, 12-year-old student, had been cheering for the St. Louis Rams. Now. he was looking for a reason to support any team.

He received just one response, from Jerry Richardson, who founded the Carolina Panthers. In a hand written response,  he listed several players he wanted Pope to watch.  Richardson also sent a replica team helmet .

According to News On 6, Richardson reportedly wrote:

“Cade we would be honored if our Carolina Panthers became your team, we would make you proud by the classy way we would represent you.”
