Three face assault, kidnapping charges after woman found nude in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO (KTVI)- Three people have been arrested after a 19-year-old woman was found injured and nude on the side of road in Franklin County Monday morning.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department responded to Little Indian Creek Road around 6:10am after a driver reported seeing the woman. Deputies determined the woman had been assaulted and was suffering from exposure to the cold.

Police said the victim had several bruises, cuts, severe frostbite, and an injured or broken arm. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The victim told police that she and three acquaintances got into in an argument earlier in the morning in the Sullivan, MO area. She claims they forced her into a car and drove her to a conservation area near Little Indian Creek south of Sullivan where she was assaulted with a metal baton and then forced to take off her clothes and get into the water. The suspects reportedly threatened to shoot her if she ran. After she was in the water, the three suspects took off.

All three suspects, a 37-year-old woman and two men in their thirties, were arrested for assault, armed criminal action, and kidnapping. Formal charges are pending.
