Woman found nude and beaten in Franklin County

UNION, MO (KTVI) - A Sullivan woman is recovering after a terrifying night in the woods after being left nude in a Franklin County conservation area.

It all started with a fight over a cell phone theft with a female friend at 4 am Monday morning near Sullivan. Soon after a 19-year-old woman was kidnapped, beaten with a baton, stripped and left behind in freezing temperatures.

A woman and two men drove the victim to a remote part of Franklin County near Little Indian Creek Road. Investigators say they threatened to shoot victim if she ran.  The victim was found two hours later in a ditch by a motorist she suffered from frostbite, bruises and a broken arm. They also say the suspects all in their thirties were known to police for past drug charges. Right now the victim is recovering at Mercy hospital in Washington. The suspects are in custody facing charges for kidnapping, assault and armed criminal action.
