Armed robbery at Belleville Circle K

BELLEVILLE, IL (KTVI) – Investigators with the Belleville Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a local Circle K at gunpoint before dawn.

The robbery took place just after 5 a.m. at the Circle K in the 2700 block of West Main Street.

The clerk told police a man walked into the store, pulled out a handgun, and demanded cash and cigarettes. The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not harmed.

A Belleville K-9 unit was called to the scene, but could not track the suspect.
