Bridgeton police identify bicyclist hit by pickup truck

BRIDGETON, Mo. (AP) _ Police in north St. Louis County have identified a bicyclist struck and killed in a weekend collision with a pickup truck.

Bridgeton police said 44-year-old Duane Johnson was hit by a truck on Gallatin Lane about 5 p.m. Friday. Capt. Steve James told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the accident remains under investigation.

James said that both Johnson and the truck were traveling in the same direction. He declined to discuss whether police are considering criminal charges against the unidentified driver, who remained at the scene.
