ORANGE COUNTY, CA - Two high school teachers in the Covina-Valley Unified School District in California were arrested for allegedly having sex with students at San Clemente State Beach last fall, KTLA 5 reported.

The teachers, 38-year-old Melody Lippert and 30-year-old Michelle Ghirelli, supposedly met with the students last November. Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said Lippert gave alcohol to the students before having sex with one of them.

The teachers planned a camping trip several weeks later, and both Ghirelli and Lippert had sex with two students on that trip, according to the sheriff’s department.

Some of the students were of legal age while others were not, authorities said.

Lippert was charged with suspicion of conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Ghirelli was charged with suspicion of oral copulation and unlawful sex with a minor. They were released on bond early Sunday morning.
