U.S. Women’s soccer team to play match at Busch Stadium

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Soccer is coming back to Busch Stadium. The St. Louis Cardinals confirm that the U.S. women’s team will face New Zealand at Busch Stadium at on Saturday, April 4. It will be the team’s only Midwestern stop before going to the Women’s World Cup this summer in Canada.

Tickets will start at $25.00 and will go on sale at 10:00am Friday, January 30, 2015. Only seats in the lower bowl will be sold.

The last time a U.S. national team played in St. Louis was October 2007, a women’s match with Mexico at the Edward Jones Dome

The St. Louis match is the only domestic game to be played in the Midwest by the U.S. Women’s National Team leading up the Women’s World Cup. The team begins the Women’s World Cup competition on June 8 against Australia in Winnipeg.
