ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Missouri State Auditor Tom Schweich Wednesday announced his candidacy for governor of Missouri.

The republican was re-elected to a second term as auditor in November with no opposition.

Schweich made his announcement at the University of Missouri St. Louis this afternoon. He says he’s running on an anti-corruption platform.

Schweich is the second republican to announce he’s running for governor. Former state representative Catherine Hanaway entered the race last year.
