Suspect sought after woman shot while looking out of window

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis police are still looking for a suspect responsible for the early morning shooting of a woman who was looking out of her window.

Timothy Bastain, 23, was charged with first-degree assault.  An “at-large” warrant was issued, indicating he’s not in custody yet.  Investigators are hoping anyone with information on Bastain’s whereabouts will call police and help them catch him.

A 36-year-old woman heard her car alarm as she looked out of the window of her home Sunday morning. She was shot in the chest.

The shooting happened around 5:20a.m. at a home in the 5900 block of Horton Place. The woman was conscious and breathing when rushed to the hospital.  She was listed in critical/stable condition.
