The Columbus Blue Jackets scored early and often in a 7-1 victory on Friday night, that ended that Blues franchise record for points in consecutive games. The Blues scored points in a team record 13 straight games, going 12-0-1 during that span.

Columbus hit starting Blues goalie Brian Elliott with four goals on their first 14 shots. Jake Allen took over in goal for Elliott, but surrendered three goals himself. Paul Stastny scored the only Blues goal of the game in the second period. The power play goal cut the Blue Jackets lead to 4-1 at the time.

The Blues return to action on Sunday. February 8th with a game against their rival, the Chicago Blackhawks. Faceoff is at 11:30 AM at Scottrade Center.
