O’Fallon, IL police seek assault suspect

O’FALLON, IL (KTVI) – O'Fallon, Illinois police continue to look for a man wanted for assaulting a woman at her front door.  The suspect was dressed or disguised as a member of the 1980's Blues Brothers Band complete with black hat, sunglasses, white shirt and black tie.

The attack happened in the 900 block of Jordan Drive in the Quail Meadow subdivision February 5 at 11 am.  Neighbors described the area as very quiet and frequently patrolled by police.   Dorothy Moye Elementary School is just a few blocks away.

Police say the victim, a woman in her mid-forties, opened the front door of her home and was attacked.  After a short struggle the man fled the scene.  The woman was taken to a hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as six feet to six feet two inches tall, at least 170 pounds, black hair and about 40 years old.  He wore a black suit style coat, black shoes and black gloves.

O'Fallon Police Lt. James Cavins is urging anyone with information about the suspect or similar incidents to contact the O'Fallon, IL police at 618-624-4545.

Police are also warning residents not to open their door to individuals they are not familiar with.
