MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI)- The Salvation Army handed over the Golden Kettle to Meteorologist Glenn Zimmerman after a successful 2014 Tree of Lights Campaign. The agency met its fundraising goal of $5.8-million. Glenn raised more money through this virtual kettle than any other FOX2 team member.

For that, he gets the Golden Kettle -- as well as bragging rights -- for the next year.

According to the Salvation Army Midland Division, the agency provided 35,719 meals to hungry men, women and children. The area's homeless were able to have 93,248 nights of shelter. Also, families in need received 35,533 food pantry boxes. The Salvation Army will spend every day of 2015 caring for our area's needy families and those recovering from homelessness.
