LONDON— “Karma.” That’s what technical recruiter Matt Buckland is calling the turn of events that occurred during his Monday morning commute to work. According to BuzzFeed, Buckland claims an irritable commuter told him to “go f–k himself,” just moments before the guy showed up for a job interview at his firm. “The guy who pushed past me on the tube and then suggested I go F myself just arrived for his interview…with me…” he posted before it was re-tweeted more than 19,000 times.

Later that day, the same guy walked into his office. To Buckland’s surprise, the applicant didn’t immediately recognize him. However, when Buckland asked about his morning commute, everything came full circle.

He says the man didn’t get the job  but not because of what happened.

The position is still open.
