LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MO (KCTV) — The Missouri Highway Patrol made an unusual discovery when a trooper stopped a car and found 400 pounds of edible marijuana chocolate bars.

The trooper stopped the driver Tuesday on Interstate 70 for a traffic violation in Lafayette County. He asked to search the car and found the pot-laced chocolate hidden inside boxes in the cargo area of the vehicle.

Jeffrey J. Woo, 42, from Ladera Ranch, CA, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and transported to the Lafayette County Jail just east of Kansas City.

He was arraigned Wednesday and pleaded not guilty. Bond was set at $100,000.
