3 St. Louis firefighters up for heroism award

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - Three heroic St. Louis firefighters have put their fire department into the national spotlight.  The trio saved three people, trapped in a burning car back on December 20, 2014 while on their way to work with no rescue equipment.

Now the 3 firefighter are finalist in the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company Firemark Award for Heroism. A production crew will be shooting a video to help determine the national winner through a vote on the company`s Facebook site. The grand prize is a $10,000 grant, that the St. Louis Fire Department would use to buy more smoke detectors and given to the public.
