MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI) – The St. Louis Rams offensive line is getting smaller before the new league year begins this Tuesday.

According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Rams will not tender center Tim Barnes’ contract and have not come to an agreement with right tackle Joe Barksdale.

Barksdale was the starting right tackle of the Rams in 29 of the last 30 games and all of last season. Coming to the team by way of waiver claim from the Oakland Raiders, Barksdale established himself as a solid right tackle while under contract with the Rams. The Post-Dispatch, the Rams and Barksdale could not come to an agreement on a contract and now the right tackle will test the free agency pool beginning on March 10.

Barnes started at center for the last four games of the 2013 season, but has not seen much action since then. The Rams still have two centers on their roster in Barrett Jones and Scott Wells, who is in the final year of his contract.
