3 charged in home-invasion killing in southwest Missouri
JANE, Mo. (AP) _ Three southwest Missouri men have been charged in a home-invasion killing.
The Joplin Globe (http://bit.ly/1MkPMRU ) reports that 32-year-old Carl Lee Jackson, his brother, 22-year-old Robert Joseph Jackson, and 20-year-old Richard Knee Jr. are jailed on $100,000 bond each. The Webb City brothers and Joplin man were charged Friday in McDonald County with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary.
No attorneys are listed for them in online court records.
Authorities said 35-year-old Rodney Frederick was killed in October after a home break-in near the town of Jane. An elderly woman and a visitor were tied up while the suspects confronted Frederick, demanding cash and marijuana.
McDonald County prosecutor Bill Dobbs says it is alleged that an argument ensued, and Carl Jackson shot Frederick.
