FULTON, MO (KTVI)-Ameren Missouri’s Callaway Energy Center will be producing electricity for decades to come. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission announced approval of the center’s license renewal application.

The approval allows for twenty more years of operation beyond the original 40-year license that was set to expire in 2024. That means Callaway has approval to produce electricity until at least 2044.
