St. Louis cat rescue shelter burglarized
ST. LOUIS (AP) _ The executive director of a St. Louis cat rescue shelter says someone broke into the facility and stole a television and a small safe.
Elizabeth Frick of Tenth Life Cat Rescue tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that it appears someone burglarized the facility sometime late Tuesday or early Wednesday by breaking the lock on a back window to gain entrance.
She says the safe recently had been emptied and didn’t contain a large amount of cash. She added the rescue already has recouped the amount of money it lost thanks to donations from supporters.
Frick says no cats were injured in the crime.
