ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- It all about Shakespeare in this weekend's Arts Pop. First, St. Louis Shakespeare is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Founder and artistic director Donna Northcott is stepping down this year and will be honored Monday night at the St. Louis Theatre Circle awardsSt. Louis Shakespeare’s current production is Blood Reigns: The War of the Roses Trilogy, the plays about Henry VI. With this production, St. Louis Shakespeare has become just the 7th Shakespeare company in the United States to stage all of William Shakespeare's plays.

Also, the former artistic and executive director of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Rick Dildine, is no longer a "former." Last September, Dildine left to head Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. But Shakespeare Festival St. Louis recently announced that Dildine is returning to his post. He told Judith Newmark of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he's thrilled and that he will be in place before “Antony and Cleopatra” opens in Forest Park in May.
