Saint Louis Zoo introduces king vulture chick

FOREST PARK (KTVI)- Welcome to the world little vulture. On Friday, the Saint Louis Zoo introduced this king vulture chick which hatched at the Zoo’s Bird House on March 3. It’s the first hatchling since 1991.

The sire, at the age of at least 45, is the oldest recorded sire for this species.

The king vulture makes its home in the tropical rainforests of Central and South America.
