ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-The new Al Pacino film "Danny Collins" is another aging rock-star saga but with a twist. Based on a true story about an obscure musician who learns that John Lennon once wrote him a letter of encouragement, Pacino’s Collins starts to turn his fading life around.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch film critic Joe Williams says the film reminds him of other movies about brushes with fame, including "My Week With Marilyn," “Hounddog”, and "My Favorite Year."
