Body found near railroad in St. Clair County

BROOKLYN, IL (KTVI) – A railroad worker happened upon a woman’s body Monday afternoon in a field near a set of train tracks in Brooklyn, Illinois, the Illinois State Police said.

According to ISP spokesman Matt Renner, the woman’s body was discovered just before 5:30 p.m. in the 200 block of S. Second Street.

The woman has not been positively identified. An autopsy is scheduled.
