ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- St. Louis police are searching for suspects who fired multiple shots into a car south of downtown killing two adults and wounding a nine-year-old girl. The girl`s mother was one of the two people who were killed. Police don't have any suspects nor do they have any suspect descriptions.

Shortly before 7p.m. Monday, police say the car with the victims inside was east on Park Avenue at South 14th Street. Another car started chasing the victim`s car and firing into it. The victim`s car eventually stopped at south 10th and Park.

A man in his early 20`s was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman in her mid 20`s was taken to a hospital where she died. The woman`s nine-year-old daughter was shot hit in the hand. She was taken to a hospital for treatment but is expected to survive.

There were also two other young girls in the car. The two and seven-year-old were not hurt.

Police believe this was a targeted shooting. Authorities say the man in the car was not related to the nine-year-old girl.

It is unclear what, if any, relation there was between the two adults who were killed and the other two young girls in the car.

The names of the victims have not been released.
