MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. (KTVI) - Now that winter has up and left, spring and warmer temperatures are settling in, which makes it the perfect time to start working out the green thumb. Gateway Greening is hoping to get everyone's green thumb going by starting the 'Perfect Picks' program. With this initiative, Gateway Greening will try to promote 24 different plants to local garden centers to sell to community gardens.

Mike Sorth, who is the executive director of Gateway Greening, a non-profit organization, talks about the Perfect Picks program and how it hopes to help make St. Louis a little greener.
