TEXAS– A state trooper in Texas was ordered to undergo counseling after posing for a photo with rapper Snoop Dogg. According to TheRoot.com, Sgt. Billy Spears met the rapper while working a secondary job in Austin. However, the Texas Department of Public Safety says the photo, posted to Snoop Dogg’s Instagram account, “reflects poorly on the agency.”

A commanding official reportedly drove 80 miles round trip to deliver the counseling order to Spears.

In the order the agency states that Spears, “took a photo with a public figure who has a well-known criminal background, including numerous drug charges.”

His attorney is working to have the order lifted from Spears’ permanent record.
