ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - A power box beneath the Eads Bridge exploded Tuesday morning.
A video sent to Fox 2 News by a viewer shows the power box attached to the bridge.
Ameren Missouri initially said lightning struck a high voltage power line, but later said rainwater got into the electrical box, causing the explosion.
The power box in question controls the navigational lights on the bridge. That could lead to problems come nightfall if it's not repaired.
MetroLink momentarily stopped trains from crossing the bridge after the power box blew.
No injuries were reported.
