Blues beat Blackhawks 2-1, clinch Central Division win

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Let's go Blues! The St. Louis Blues and their fans are on a high this morning after the team clinched the Central Division championship Thursday night. The team clinched the Central with a win over the rival Chicago Blackhawks at Scottrade combined with a Nashville loss to Minnesota. It`s the Blues first division title since the 2011-2012 season.

It was scoreless in the second period with the Blues on a four minute power play.

Jake Allen stopped 21 of 22 shots, while the Blues got goals from Dmitrij Jaskin and Paul Stastny to key the victory. One game remains in the regular season, so the Blues do not  know their playoff opponent.

The Blues will have home ice advantage in their opening round series of the NHL playoffs. Their opponent will be either the Wild, Blackhawks or the Winnipeg Jets.
