PHELPS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – Two men and a woman were charged for a robbery and assault that took place in Rolla earlier this week, the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department said.

According to Sheriff Richard Lisenbe, deputies were called to a shooting in the 12000 block of Clearwater Drive just before 2:45 a.m. on April 6. The victims, a 32-year-old man and 25-year-old woman, said they were beaten up, robbed, and their vehicle shot up by gunfire. The victims were taken to a local hospital, treated for injuries, and released.

Investigators determined the victims knew the suspects, Lisenbe said. The deputies located the suspects at their homes and taken into custody. The suspects, identified as 29-year-old Percy Johnson, Lindsay Sheppard, and 25-year-old Dillon Richards, were later released pending warrants and formal charges.

On April 8, the warrants were issued and charges finalized against the suspects, Lisenbe said. The trio was located at around 4:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of N. Highway 63 in Rolla and arrested.

Johnson was charged with second-degree assault and jailed on a $50,000 bond. Sheppard was charged with first-degree robbery and jailed on a $250,000 bond. Richards was charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon, and was jailed on $250,000 bond.
