Race held in memory of fallen Marine, Soldier, and police officer

SULLIVAN, MO (KTVI)- Robert Traxel was a U.S. Marine, Soldier, member of the Missouri National Guard,  and the U.S. Naval Reserves, and a Florissant Police Officer. He was killed in July 2012 while working as broadcast journalist for the 70th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment with the Missouri National Guard, while serving on a humanitarian training exercise in Guatemala.

The annual Robert J. Traxel Memorial walk/run will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Campbell Chapman Sports Complex in Sullivan, MO. Proceeds benefit Snowball Express, which serves the children of military families who will never be reunited with their mom or dad, and the Sullivan DeMolay. The entry fee is just $20.
