FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Greater St. Marks Church on Glen Ownen Drive is in the process of trying to build up the community by having a summer camp for kids at the old school they bought next door, but someone is trying to tear it down. On Monday morning pastors discovered that all 13 of their ac units were stolen on Sunday night. Pastor Tommie Pierson says they are expecting 300 north county kids this summer and a lack of air conditioning puts their community program at risk.

'13 units at least $13,000. I feel so brokenhearted that this church has given its all I mean we've gone into debt supporting people and organizations in this community to have someone come and take these units is a real letdown. We can't have classes without air conditioning but were faithful we`ll get them.' said Pierson

FOX 2 contacted St. Louis County Police and will bring you updates as we get them. The church was also a big part of the movement in Ferguson.
