ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – It was the tendon pop heard around the Major Leagues – one of baseball's premier pitchers, Adam Wainwright, out for the season with a torn Achilles heel. He'll have surgery Thursday and spend the rest of the year rehabbing.

The hope is that he's back for spring training of next year.

Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rick Lehman from the U.S. Center for Sports Medicine in Kirkwood visits Fox 2 News in the Morning to talk about the injury and recovery time.
