ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - One local group of artists hit a home run with their baseball masterpiece. The group Chalk Riot has created a 3D chalk image of Busch Stadium on the sidewalk outside of the northwest corner of ballpark and Team Store.

They began the designing process for this artistic display of Busch about two weeks ago. The process involved a lot of geometry and photoshop to capture the right angles for design.

The goal of Chalk Riot is to draw attention to the beauty of commonly visited locations that are often overlooked.

This chalk moral took 12 hours straight to complete on Wednesday.

The artists behind this masterpiece are proud to see their work pay off as countless Busch Stadium visitors are stopping by daily to enjoy the creative chalk exhibit.

The longevity of this piece is weather and concrete dependent according to the artists. It can survive through rain. In fact, a light rain would help to seal the piece. Chalk Riot encourages St. Louisans to be on the lookout for other chalk designs across area coming this summer.
