ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) – St. Charles county police are asking for the public's help in finding a thief caught on tape. The suspect is wanted for several burglaries in the harvester area.

He's wanted for stealing items from two garages of homes and burglarizing several cars plus stealing a pick-up truck. Police say in all the thefts he got in through unlocked doors.

In surveillance video taken from a home security system, man is seen trying to open the door of a pick-up truck but when he finds the door locked he walks away.   Police say the thefts happened between March 16th and March 19th in two neighborhoods in the Harvester area, the Arlington Heights and Cinnamon Hills subdivisions.  He got away with lawn equipment from the garages and from the cars he took money, GPS units, CD's and sunglasses.  Police believe he may be wanted for other crimes.

St. Charles County police detective sergeant Jeff Ochs said, "he's possibly responsible for more yes. We’ve got more crimes that have occurred within a half mile area to a mile area where these crimes occurred and it’s very possible he could be the same suspect."

The suspect is described as a white male, 18 to 21 years old, slender build with shaggy hair.  Detectives say he may be from St. Charles County since he seems to keep hitting the same subdivisions in the harvester area.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Charles County Police Department.
