WENTZVILLE, MO (KTVI)-In 2010, International Bereaved Mother’s Day was created by a mother who also had a stillborn baby. It occurs on the first Sunday of every May.

The local group Angel Moms Over St. Louis Mo and Abroad will honor the day in Heartland Park in Wentzville, MO, on May 3, at 2:00pm. There will be prayer and butterfly release.

Angel Moms Over St Louis Mo and Abroad was founded by Denise Beckmann in 2013 in the memory of her youngest child, Connor, who died in 2011 just 6 months from his high school graduation at Hillsboro High School. The group provides support for local mothers who have lost a child. They also run a private Facebook support group.

The group is building a Children's Memorial Walkway Garden at Heartland Park in the memory of all babies, children, and young adults gone much too soon. They are hosting a children's memorial brick fundraiser now through Sunday, May 10.
