ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – As Americans we love anything big. But in sort of a reversal, a new bar is set to open in downtown St. Louis called, the Tiny Bar and Bridge Taproom. The bar celebrates the spirit of Eddie Gaedel, the tiniest Major League Baseball player ever. Gaedel played for the St. Louis Browns and only batted once. Standing 3 foot 7, Gaedel walked in his only at bat.

The bar is located at 1008 Locust Street and will host a grand opening Wednesday night from 5 pm to 7 pm.  The grand opening will host the tiniest parade and celebration of Eddie Gaedel’s birthday and street party in front of the bar.
