Protesters arrested for impeding traffic

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – St. Louis police arrested 8 protesters late Friday night on Washington Avenue. The arrest came after an evening of peaceful protest that started at Kiener Plaza around 8 pm, and then moved to Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village.

Around 11:40 pm protesters started marching down Washington Avenue in the middle of the street, causing several near accidents with motorist. Police moved in and reminded protesters to march on the sidewalks and stay out of the street. Several protesters refused to get out of the street and were arrested. Two protesters resisted arrest and had to be tased.

Elijah Murray, 23-year old male of Ferguson, MO

Tyler Giles, 19-year old male of Fairview Heights, IL

Jeffery Hill, 24-year old male of University City, MO

Erica Hallman, 28-year old female of Defiance, MO

Lashell Eikerenkoetter, 25-yaer-old female of St. Louis, Mo

Michael Lhotak, a 28-year old male of Rock Hill, MO
