AFFTON, MO (KTVI) – Move over Jay-Z some high schoolers have a new rap idol, they discovered right in their classroom.  Teacher Chris Boley serenaded students with a song he wrote to the tune of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.”

YouTube user Manuel Herrera posted the video on Saturday.  He writes, “Affton High School Teacher of the Year, Chris Boley, sends off the Class of 2015 by Losing Himself. #afftonflows”

Herrera posted the lyrics to Boley’s song:

Your palms are sweaty
The cap makes your head feel heavy
You’re getting prepared to walk gracefully and steady
18 years later and you’re finally ready
To cross this stage and get your diploma already

It’s time to say goodbye
You start to think of the times
Good and the bad times
Brings tears to your eye
And all the while
How you’ve flashed your own smile
and you’re very own style
this stage seems like a mile

Now back to this situation
This is your graduation
And the celebration
Of years of determination
You’ve gone station to station
And this the culimination
Forever a part of this cougar nation

High School years behind you
Drama in the rear view
To yourself you’ve been true
Beermann’s going out too
Look at all that you do
Goals you have pursued
Graduate now describes you

You better lose yourself in this moment, you wanted, you earned it, you did your thing
You only get one shot from here on out, so make those choices count, you’ve got to think

Learning your math, or the ABC’s
Tested, I think they’ve mastered plenty of these
The ACT, PSAT, the EOC
Or the M-A-P started at the grade of 3

Others got college credit going through AP
Some of you got by for four years with straight D’s
But you all made it, for that you should be pleased
So appease the pleas of your parents when they just say “say cheese”

It doesn’t matter the means or the path
You all have a common aftermath
Diploma in your hands your grads after that
So go tackle the world there’s no turning back

Your life now becomes a solo track
Family and friends your supporting cast
To yourself you got to make this pact
The world will get my all, no effort lacked
