ST. LOUIS, MO – Family Guy is a sitcom that has always been a little ahead of its time.  This time the show seems to have predicted the future in a sketch from 2009.

Pictures of Bruce Jenner’s transition to Caitlyn Jenner now grace the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. The new face, body and name are now a part of pop culture.  That would have been hard to imagine six years ago.

Stewie starts the episode by saying Bruce Jenner gave birth to Brody Jenner.

“Bruce Jenner is a man,” Brian tells Stewie.

“No, Brian,” Stewie replies. “That’s what the press would have you believe, but he’s not. Bruce Jenner is a woman—an elegant, beautiful Dutch woman.”

Stewie may have gotten the Dutch part wrong but “Family Guy” creators pretty much predicted nailed it. Jenner revealed plans to fully transition into a woman this April in an interview with Diane Sawyer.  The transition will be the subject of a new docu-series on E!, titled “I Am Cait.”

Another FOX show may have beat Family guy to the punchline.  It seems Married with Children made a jab decades before Stewie.
