ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Two people who police believe were fatally shot in St. Louis have been identified.

St. Louis media outlets report 42-year-old Tanisha Williams and 39-year-old Arvel Long have been identified as the man and woman found Sunday unconscious with gunshot wounds at a home in the Tower Grove South neighborhood.

Police responded to calls Sunday from neighbors who said they heard gunshots and arguing Friday night. Neighbors say they tried to check on the residents over the weekend.

Police said they entered the home and found the victims unconscious and not breathing. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the incident appears to be a murder and suicide, but the investigation is ongoing.
