Congressman Clay to host 10th Annual Career Fair at Harris- Stowe

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Are you looking for a job? If so, you may want to be at Harris- Stowe State University today. Congressman Lacy Clay is hosting his 10th Annual Career Fair on Monday, June 8th. The congressman says the event will feature more than one hundred of the St. Louis area`s top employers who are trying to fill more than one thousands jobs. He says last year more than 5,000 people seeking work attended.

The fair is free.

Companies from all sectors of the local economy who are currently hiring will be here. In a press release Clay is highlighting LaunchCode as one of the top employers who will be here. And indicates the business has a reputation to connect nontraditional employees with job in the high demand world of coding and information technology.

In fact, LaunchCode will present two special work session to show potential employees more about that kind of career.

It starts at 9:30a.m. and runs until 2:30p.m. at the Emerson Physical Education and Performing Arts Center at 3026 Laclede Avenue.
