Elderly woman found shot to death in Sunset Hills home

SUNSET HILLS, MO (KTVI) - The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was called to Sunset Hills Monday morning to assist police with an investigation involving the suspicious death of an elderly woman. The victim has been identified as 86-year-old Terry Tobey. Police say she was shot to death.

Tobey was found dead in her home in the 12600 block of Bradford Woods.  She woman lived alone and suffered from dementia. A neighbor, who usually checks in on the woman, found her body on Sunday evening. She was last seen alive on Thursday at 9am.

A team of 20 detectives is working on this case. The death was ruled a homicide by the Medical Examiner’s Office this afternoon.
