Jennings mayor fined for violating campaign finance laws

(KTVI) – After just two months in office, the new mayor of Jennings now finds herself in hot water with the Missouri Ethics Commission

The commission found that mayor Yolanda Fountain Henderson and her campaign committee violate the law.

It accused the mayor of mixing personal funds with campaign funds and failing to timely and accurately report contributions and expenditures.

The commission slapped Henderson and the campaign committee with fines totaling $21,000.

The mayor is appealing the decision.
