ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The hot weather is making for sticky work backstage at The Muny Theatre. But with opening night just four days away, the crew doesn’t have much choice.

You can tell it is showtime at The Muny because the banners are up and the fountains are running. And if it gets much hotter, folks may start thinking about splashing around in them. However, there’s no time for that as work continues in and around the theatre.

This season is book-ended with classics—My Fair Lady and Oklahoma—and Into the Woods is expected to do especially well, thanks to the movie version that came out last Christmas.

But the one show that is already getting a lot of buzz is Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, which is part show and part concert.

The fun begins Monday night.
