ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- The Special Olympics torch made its way through St. Louis Tuesday. St. Louis residents will run, walk and ride bikes to carry the 'Flame of Hope" as it makes its way to Los Angeles for the 2015 games, which run from July 25th until August 2nd.

The Special Olympics Unified Relay Across America traveled along Washington Avenue downtown, with a stop at Ballpark Village for a community celebration. More than 20 members of the blues organization, including players, took part in the relay.

The torch is scheduled to arrive in Clayton Thursday morning. A ceremony will be held at St. Louis County Police Headquarters to honor law enforcement officers for their participation.
