One person killed in plane crash near Cuba airport

CUBA, MO (KTVI)-The Missouri Highway Patrol has confirmed that one person died in a plane crash near the Cuba, MO airport Sunday morning. Around 7:45am, a single engine Piper PA-32 crashed in a wooded area three quarters of a mile north of the airport.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the pilot was Jeff Hansen, the owner of Hansen's Tree Service.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
